AEW had been wanting to introduce a Trios Championship for quite some time. The Jacksonville-based promotion finally unveiled the titles on the Fight for the Fallen special episode of Dynamite in July 2022. They need to figure out who will battle for those belts first.

Tony Khan booked a trios tournament to crown the first ever AEW World Trios Champions. The tournament finals will take place at the company next pay-per-view event, All Out, in September 2022.

The AEW World Trios Championship Tournament will kick off with a quarterfinal match between Los Ingobernables and The Young Bucks a mystery partner next week on Dynamite. Of course, many people are expecting Kenny Omega’s return to the ring.

Death Triangle versus Will Ospreay and Aussie Open, House of Black versus Dark Order, and Trustbusters versus Best Friends are the other matches in the trios tournament. Check out the card below. Obviously, they will add more matches to the card, but those matches were announced during AEW Dynamite this week.
