Ric Flair finally got the opportunity to retire on his own the way he wanted to. The Nature Boy teamed up with Andrade El Idolo against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett on July 31st, 2022. Ric Flair’s last match was also part of a master plan.

Ric Flair took some scary bumps and even bled during the match, something that he promised to do as well. After the dust settled, Ric Flair won the match and fans were just glad Ric Flair lived.

While speaking on the My World with Jeff Jarrett, Conrad Thompson talked about Ric Flair’s last match. Thompson revealed that Flair’s last match was part of a master plan.

“You and I talked about this over a year ago,” Thompson said to Jarrett. “I said, ‘no, I’m not doing wrestling, I’m not promoting wrestling, I’m not negotiating finishes, I don’t want to be involved in the politics.’ I like my lane but this opportunity presented itself. The real story that we’re not talking about, we will tell you one day, but this is part of a bigger master plan and no it does not involve Ric Flair wrestling again but the entrepreneur brain kicked off and I saw an opportunity for Sunday and I said, ‘if I don’t do it, I’ll wonder what if, so let’s do it.’ We rolled the dice, I couldn’t be more tickled with the results.”

Ric Flair is also very happy with how the match turned out to be. Ric Flair also got physical in Puerto Rico mere days after his final match. We sincerely hope that Flair stays retired this time.
