Ric Flair finally got the opportunity to retire on his own terms. The Nature Boy teamed up with Andrade El Idolo against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett on July 31st, 2022. He also really liked how his last match turned out in the end.

Ric Flair took some scary bumps and even bled during the match, something that he promised to do as well. After the dust settled, Ric Flair won the match and fans were just glad Ric Flair lived.

While speaking with Michael Morales of Lucha Libre Online, Ric Flair talked about his last match. The Nature Boy stated that he is very happy with the final match of his career.

“I’m very happy with it. I needed to give it one more shot. I feel like I didn’t go out the right way and to have the relationship now that I do with Andrade, with Charlotte to have a son-in-law like him to be a tag team partner, for him to tag with me at this time and have the whole family there and his family, who I have gotten to know well, watched it from Mexico. It was big for all of them.

It was especially big for me because my entire family was there and the only person to get an opportunity to do that twice: once in 2008 with Shawn Michaels (at WrestleMania) and now with my son-in-law in Nashville. It was big.”

Ric Flair also got physical in Puerto Rico mere days after his final match. He will always manage to make headlines for one reason or another and that is unlikely to ever change.
