Ric Flair battled in his “last match” on July 31st, but The Nature Boy wasn’t 100% the entire time. Although he was happy about how it all went down, that match associated with Starrcast could have gone much worse.

Flair gave his all in that last match, and he also bled just as he promised. In the end, The Nature Boy and his son-in-law won the match, ending his legendary career on high note. The Undertaker, Mick Foley, and many more notable names were ringside to witness it all.

During Ric Flair’s To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair revealed that the blacked out twice during that last match. He passed out right after he finally to his corner for a dramatic tag in his match. It turns out that Flair wasn’t selling all that delirium.

“The idea was he gave me the tag and I crawled. But I got all that, and the people got all that. I thought they were really with it. I crawl over, cover, one, save. Then at that point, along came the guitar. You know, bingo. When I was down, I passed out again. I just passed out, and Manny is going ‘Sir, you have to wake up.’ I had the brass knuckles. ‘Sir, you have to wake up.’ Okay, so then I woke up and I knew where we were and we’re home. But I swear to God, twice during the match, I went completely black.”

Ric Flair says that he will never wrestle again. That being said, he still got physical during Andrade El Idolo’s match in Puerto Rico a few days later. Only time will tell what’s next for the Nature Boy, but he might not want to risk it by getting into an actual match again.
