Sasha Banks and Naomi were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions when they walked out during the May 16th edition of Raw. The duo were immediately stripped of the titles and the fate of the championship was left undecided.

Michael Cole revealed on SmackDown this week that WWE will hold a Women’s Tag Team Tournament to determine the new champions. The tournament will begin next week on Raw.

WWE contacted Sasha Banks and Naomi after Vince McMahon stepped away from the company. Triple H took over the charge of the company’s creative affairs following McMahon’s exit.

Sasha Banks and Naomi removed all mentions of WWE from their social media bios as well. WWE holding the tournament could be a way to bring back Boss and Glow to the company.
