Impact Wrestling has been going on for more than two decades now and has amassed a respectable fanbase over the years. However, that does not mean they will ever try to compete with WWE.
According to Fightful’s paywall, Impact Wrestling’s biggest event of the year, Bound For Glory, will be taking place in Albany, not Danbury. However, this was not the original plan.
It was said that Danbury, Connecticut was the landing spot for Impact Bound For Glory 2022 on October 8th. However, that was changed to Albany, New York. WWE’s Extreme Rules will be taking place on October 8th and Impact does not want to directly compete with WWE.
Weeks ago, Fightful Select reported that Danbury, CT was the landing spot for IMPACT Bound For Glory 2022 on October 8. However, the company announced Albany, New York for October 7 this week. The show is just two hours up the road, and we’ve learned why the change took place. WWE’s Extreme Rules PPV is taking place on October 8, and the company didn’t want to go directly against their show. Instead, the PPV was moved to Friday for the first time in the event’s history.
We will have to wait and see how both Bound For Glory and Extreme Rules turns out, because fans are certainly excited about both events. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more on this story and everything else going on in the pro wrestling world.
