Seth Rollins expressed his displeasure yesterday after his match with Riddle was pulled from SummerSlam. WWE announced that Riddle suffered an injury when Rollins attacked him on this week’s episode of Raw. The injury is part of the storyline, but the match is not happening on Saturday in Nashville.

Triple H responded to Seth Rollins on Twitter, noting that he was listening. That likely sets up The Game to make a match for Rollins at SummerSlam. Those plans have not yet been revealed.

On today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said it looks like Triple H used his tweet to set up an angle to make the match. Fans should find out exactly what the plan is in the next couple of days. Rollins is expected to have a match, we just don’t know with whom.

“They moved it [Rollins vs Riddle] to Clash at the Castle for whatever reason. That’s what they did. And I got the impression from that tweet that it’s like Triple H kind of babyfacing himself where he takes away a match and you’re all disappointed. Well, injury takes away the match, although it’s a worked injury. So, he comes and saves the day and, you know, announces a match…

I guess they’ll announce a match on Friday’s SmackDown or tomorrow or whatever. Seth Rollins was talking about the heel is going like, ‘I worked so hard, I deserved to be on this show, and I really want to wrestle on this show.’ That was quite the babyface tweet, too. So, yeah, it’s one of his first moves is I guess doing this and the other big move.”

Ringside News exclusively reported that some changes were coming to SummerSlam. As WWE moves on from Vince McMahon, the shows will eventually start looking more like Triple H’s vision. SummerSlam could be the start of that transition.
