Wrestling fans have been speculating a lot about what the retirement of Vince McMahon could mean to the landscape of the industry. WWE was not even an option for many, who simply refused to work under McMahon’s regime. Now that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are in charge, a lot of minds are expected to change.

One person who has always been vocal about her thoughts on the state of pro wrestling is Maria Kanellis. Maria and her husband, Mike Bennett, spent some time with WWE recently. They were cut as part of the mass COVID releases in 2020.

Maria Kanellis has been outspoken about her desire for McMahon’s ouster to have a positive impact on WWE. She was recently asked by a fan on Twitter if she would consider a return now that Vince is gone. Maria said she has a great relationship with Triple H and if the timing and opportunity are right, she would be open to it.

“The wrestling world is wild right now. I always had a great working relationship with @TripleH and I know @RealMikeBennett liked his brief time in @WWENXT. The right opportunity is always timing meets talent. If it’s the right time, then it’s the right time.”

Maria Kanellis recently spoke to Tony Khan about the Ring of Honor women’s division. She has tried to make herself available as she becomes more of an advocate. With the new faces in charge at WWE, Maria is open to working to facilitate change there, as well.

Time will tell if Triple H and Maria Kanellis have any sort of discussions. A door is open that didn’t seem to be just weeks ago. The same could be the case for a lot of talent who now have another viable option now that Vince McMahon is out of the picture.
