Vince McMahon’s name will forever be included among the most influential men in pro wrestling history. It seems his time in his own company has come to an end.

McMahon stepped aside as WWE CEO and allowed his daughter, Stephanie McMahon, to take the helm. Now another crucial time has come for WWE as Vince McMahon announced today that he is retiring.

Mr. McMahon jumped on Twitter today and made a grand announcement that he is retiring at 77-years-old. Prior to this, he was still running television and WWE’s creative direction, but now it seems he is stepping away all together.

At 77, time for me to retire.

Thank you, WWE Universe.

Then. Now. Forever. Together.

Triple H returned to WWE as Vice President of Talent Relations. The timing of The Game’s return to the company is not lost on us. The timing of the mounting investigation into his hush money scandal is not lost on us, either.

We will have to see what the future holds, but it seems that for the first time in over 30 years, Vince McMahon is not in control of WWE anymore.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
