Rey Mysterio will celebrate his 20th anniversary with WWE on tonight’s episode of Raw. The show will take place at the sold-out Madison Square Garden, one of the recently-retired Vince McMahon’s favorite venues. The company is planning a huge celebration for Rey during the broadcast.
Aside from the anniversary party, Rey Mysterio does have some business inside the ropes. He will team with Dominik Mysterio to take on The Judgment Day, who has been tormenting the father-son team for weeks. Many expect that to end poorly for Rey.
As far as the celebration itself, a new report from Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall indicates what fans can expect. There is even a cake planned for the party. Viewers can expect a large number of props if the original plans haven’t changed.
“An actual Rey Mysterio 20 year anniversary celebration, complete with cake was planned. We’re told that there are a “significant number of props” that were required for the original plans for this.”
Elsewhere on tonight’s Raw, Roman Reigns is scheduled to appear. The Bloodline will take on The Street Profits and Matt Riddle in six-man tag action. There will also be a new interview segment starring Logan Paul as he continues his feud with The Miz.
Tonight’s show is the highest-grossing episode of Raw so far in 2022. Madison Square Garden will be ready for a party. Rey Mysterio is planning one, but there are a few people who would love to rain on his parade.
