Bad News On CM Punk’s Injury Status

CM Punk proved all doubters wrong after becoming the new AEW World Champion at AEW Double Or Nothing. Unfortunately, his reign didn’t go the way they expected. There is also bad news regarding his injury.

As seen on a previous episode of AEW Rampage, CM Punk revealed that he is injured. This shocked fans as they believed another Summer Of Punk was going to happen.

Punk eventually underwent surgery for the injury as well. According to PW Insider, CM Punk stated during an AEW panel last night that his foot is still healing after being “shattered” at AEW’s Los Angeles debut Dynamite and undergoing surgery.

It was said that it was evident just how much pain Punk was actually in while moving around. He was also icing his foot multiple times in backstage areas while sitting in between appearances. 

Tony Khan also refused to comment on CM Punk returning during AEW All Out. Regardless, it might be a while until fans get to see the Second City Saint in action again.
