Biff Busick (known in WWE as Oney Lorcan) was one of the most in-demand independent wrestlers in the United States after he was released by WWE. Despite his name recognition and talent, he has faced some controversy over the past year. Fans have noticed that he hasn’t been wrestling as much recently, and there’s a reason for that.

The last time Biff Busick wrestled was a June 12 show for Beyond Wrestling. After being very active after his 90-day non-compete with WWE ended, things slowed down. Busick took to social media to explain.

In a tweet, he apologized to any promoters who have been trying to book him. Biff Busick explained that he is taking some time away from the ring. He did not say if or when he plans to return.

“If you have contacted me about bookings, I apologize if I haven’t immediately gotten back to you. I’ve decided to take some time away from performing in the ring. Thank you.”

Busick fell out of favor with many after it was revealed that he had donated to former WWE referee and QAnon conspiracy adherent Drake Weurtz’s campaign for the Florida legislature. Biff later clarified, explaining that he does not support Drake’s beliefs and that he did not knowingly donate money.

It remains to be seen when Biff Busick will return to the squared circle. Hopefully, he is able to spend his time doing whatever it is that makes him happy. Fans would love to see him back, but ultimately, that will be his decision.
