Michael Elgin Arrested In Japan For Stealing Protein Powder

Michael Elgin’s fall from grace is well documented. Elgin was reportedly arrested on allegations of domestic abuse in the summer of 2021. He produced several documents to refute the allegations. He is once again finding himself in trouble with the law.

Cassidy Haynes of Body Slam reported that Elgin was arrested in Japan last week for stealing protein powder. As of this writing, the former Impact Wrestling star is currently in jail.

I can now confirm the reason for Michael Elgin’s absence is due to the fact that he was arrested last weekend in Japan for stealing. Sources confirmed to me that Elgin was arrested for stealing protein powder, and that he is currently still in jail.

Word going around is that Elgin could be facing up to 5 years in jail, unless a potential deal is arranged similar to the one Matt Sydal worked out for his cannabis arrest in 2016, where the charges were dropped but he would never be allowed to return to Japan again.

Michael Elgin was booked to wrestle on the July 10th Pro Wrestling NOAH event in Shizuoka, but the promotion changed the card after revealing that he won’t be appearing on the show.
