The abrupt ending to the IWGP World Championship match at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door worried many fans about Adam Cole’s health. Cole seemed entirely out of it while getting pinned by Jay White. Although Cole’s condition wasn’t touched on during this week’s Dynamite, a new report may’ve revealed what happened to the Undisputed Elite leader.

According to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cole seemingly has suffered a “very serious” concussion. Meltzer added that Cole also has been dealing with a torn labrum.

Cole, who has been wrestling with a torn labrum (shoulder), suffered what was believed to have been a very serious concussion, leading to a rushed and awkward finish of the IWGP title match as Jay White pinned him

The wrestling industry has been plagued with so many injuries as of late. AEW needed to change plans entirely after CM Punk injured his foot and required surgery. Now Cole has a hurt shoulder and brain on top of it.

Over in WWE, it was revealed that Rhea Ripley also may’ve suffered a concussion, causing her to miss this weekend’s Money In The Bank live event. Hopefully, this season of injuries has the same abrupt ending as the match at Forbidden Door.
