Adam Cole is going through a very interesting part of his career in AEW. Cole competed in a fatal four-way match for the IWGP World Heavyweight title at Forbidden Door, which didn’t finish very well for him.

Fans saw Cole collapse on the floor when Kazuchika Okada went for the rainmaker. Soon after the match ended, AEW medical staff checked on Cole. It was later believed that he might have suffered concussion during the match.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, when Cole got checked up backstage by the medical staff, he claimed to be feeling well. Cole’s injuries were very obvious, but he held his own.

“Afterwards they had the doctors hit the ring to check on Adam Cole, and he did leave of his own power. I was told that they got him backstage to examine him, he was feeling alright, is what I was told. But clearly, there was an injury.”

Adam Cole has also been dealing with several injuries from the previous matches. Despite that, he competed at the AEW x NJPW ‘Forbidden Door’ event. It is also said that he will need a good amount of rest to recover from the accumulated injuries so far. Hopefully, he gets the break he deserves until he is ready to compete again.
