Donovan was let go from his contract in the middle of the storyline. WWE noted that ‘Two Dimes’ violated company policy. He was told to come back in about a year.

Tonight’s episode of NXT 2.0 featured a segment wherein D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenz dumped, what was apparently Two Dimes’ body, over into the water. This was a way to explain where his former associate went.

D’Angelo said that as he held Two Domes’ leather jacket and said that he trusted him, but ‘Two Dimes’ tried to steal his throne. He then proceeded to throw the gold watch he gave him into the river.

Tony D’Angelo’s family has been one of the major stables in NXT 2.0. After defeating Legado, the Don of NXT took control of Santos Escobar’s group. Two Dimes played a pivotal role in that storyline.
