Matt Hardy was left without tag team partner for his huge match at AAA’s TripleMania event last night in Tijuana. Jeff Hardy was originally scheduled but was unable to appear due to his recent DUI arrest. Matt still worked the show and delivered a huge name as his surprise partner.

John Morrison once again changed things up, as he surprised the Mexican crowd as Johnny Hardy. Morrison has used several different monikers over the years depending upon where he is working. The unique pairing didn’t work out the way Matt Hardy hoped.

Johnny Hardy turned on Matt during the bout. In the end, he took the pinfall from Dragon Lee. After the match, Matt Hardy hit Johnny with a twist of fate.

Matt Hardy apologized to the fans for Jeff Hardy’s absence. He said he thought long and hard about a solution. Ultimately, his old WWE nemesis John Morrison was there to fill in.
