Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy were scheduled for the main event of Saturday’s AAA TripleMania XXX event in Tijuana. Unfortunately, Jeff was arrested for DUI on Monday morning, derailing those plans. The promotion was still advertising Jeff Hardy over 24 hours after his arrest.

Hardy was picked up before 10 AM for DUI in Volusia County, Florida. He failed his blood alcohol tests, clocking in at over three times the legal limit. Jeff Hardy could be facing jail time as a repeat offender.

At approximately 2 PM Eastern time on Tuesday, AAA was still releasing promotional materials featuring Jeff Hardy. A tweet from their official account included a poster advertising The Hardys for their originally scheduled matchup with Dragon Lee and Dralistico.

The tweet was likely scheduled in advance. That would be an honest mistake and could happen anywhere. Oddly, AAA’s social media team has not removed or altered the advertisement since.

In the US, Jeff Hardy was suspended without pay by Tony Khan of AEW. Khan noted that Hardy must complete a rehabilitation program and sustain his sobriety if he wants to return. Hardy indicated that he is open to Khan’s offer of assistance.

AAA has been reportedly looking for a new tag team partner for Matt Hardy. It is incredibly unlikely that Jeff Hardy will be allowed to go to Mexico, let alone compete. As of now, AAA still has not made a statement regarding the matter on social media.
