Chris Jericho is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world and is never afraid of confrontation. Due to his nature, there have been times Chris Jericho got involved in heated confrontations and scuffles. Jericho and MVP are also no longer friends after their most recent confrontation.

As previously reported, Chris Jericho and MVP were reportedly involved in an ugly hotel confrontation after recent episode of AEW Dynamite. MVP also commented on the confrontation, somewhat.

According to Fightful’s paywall, Chris Jericho and MVP are no longer friends and it all boiled down to their issues on politics and the like on social media. They were also said to have had another private conversation that further distanced them.

Fightful had heard about the confrontation as far back as AEW Double or Nothing weekend, but facts were few and far between as there wasn’t much talent around that saw it. Those close to the situation say that it is true that MVP and Chris Jericho are no longer friends, and it boiled down to social and political issues in which were made public on Twitter.

When we asked MVP about the reported confrontation, we were told that “there was an exchange, but it didn’t go down like that” and there are two sides to every story, with the truth usually somewhere in the middle. It was established that while the two were former friends, that was no longer the case

Friendships in pro wrestling can end for a variety of reasons and it seems politics was the reason when it came to Jericho and MVP. The Wizard has made his political leanings no secret, and his wife was even in Washington, D.C on the day of the January 6th insurrection attempt at the Capitol. Regardless, MVP and Jericho are highly unlikely to share a drink together anytime soon.
