Chris Jericho and MVP were reported to have been involved in an ugly hotel confrontation after a recent episode of AEW Dynamite. Dave Meltzer noted that there had been some bad blood after a falling out between the two. MVP has now taken to social media to partially refute that story.

MVP is not fully denying that he had a confrontation at a hotel with AEW star Chris Jericho. He also doesn’t think the initial reports were correct. The WWE superstar said the story is true, but the reported details are incorrect.

“Even when they get the story right, they get the details wrong. Gotta love the dirt sheets.”

The original report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said something happened between the two 18 months ago. MVP did confirm in the past that he and Jericho had an exchange over Twitter about politics that resulted in The Wizard blocking him. It is not known if that incident had anything to do with the hotel incident.

MVP did not elaborate any further on the matter. He is refuting at least some part of the story, where Jericho was said to have called him a jobber before walking away. The altercation appears to have been verbal.

We will have to wait and see if the situation between MVP and Chris Jericho escalates. MVP claims what was reported missed out on some details. Perhaps one day we’ll know what happened, but for now, it’s all speculation.
