Tony D’Angelo has been on a roll lately in NXT 2.0. His group took control of Legado Del Fantasma after winning a six-man tag match at the recent In Your House premium live event. Unfortunately, D’angelo’s momentum may be halted by an untimely injury.

NXT 2.0 recently hit the road for the first time. The developmental brand is doing shows around the state of Florida to help acclimate wrestlers to life on the road and working in front of crowds outside of Orlando. During a recent show in Largo, Tony D’Angelo suffered what appeared to be a shoulder injury during a match with Cameron Grimes.

The nature of the injury is not known at this time. Dave Meltzer briefly discussed Tony D’Angelo’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio. We should know more before the end of the day about the severity of the injury.

“Real quick, so did we talk about D’Angelo? What happened to Tony D’Angelo… I was so busy watching all these shows but I know Tony D’Angelo got hurt tonight in Largo… I don’t know how serious yet, but I’ll try to find out in the morning.”
