Kick-Off Show

The NXT In Your House kick-off show is hosted by Mackenzie Mitchell and Sam Roberts.

They run down the matches on tonight’s show, then start talking about Cameron Grimes Vs. Carmelo Hayes. Roberts says Hayes will have to take a step-up if he wants to win tonight. Hayes and Trick appear on a split-screen and Trick says Hayes writes and re-writes the rules as he pleases. Hayes says he’s been watching Grimes for a while now but he fights with passion, emotion, and everything he has. He’s going to give it his all tonight but he’s going to show the world that, no matter how good Grimes is, he’s on a level that nobody can touch.

We see a video package for Wendy Choo Vs. Mandy Rose tonight. Rose said she has more pressure on her than any other Champion tonight. Roberts agrees and says Rose is establing herself in the same lineage as Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Bayley, etc. And matter-of-fact, Wendy Choo isn’t on that level. Roberts says Rose will continue her reign.

Edris Enofe and Malik Blade join Sam and Mackenzie to discuss The Creed Brothers Vs. Pretty Deadly for the Tag Team Championships. They joke around and Enofe says if Pretty Deadly can’t retain they’re going to be pretty dreadful. They pick The Creed Brothers to win but Sam Roberts says Pretty Deadly have been flawless since joining NXT, and will remain so tonight.

They discuss the 6-man tag match between Legado Del Fantasma and the D’Angelo family. Roberts says this is a must-win match for both teams. He says he cannot imagine either D’Angelo or Escobar taking orders from the other, they’re both leaders, but we will come see one family take all the marbles tonight.

They finish by talking about Bron Breakker and Joe Gacy. Mackenzie asks if Bron can control his temper tonight when Gacy has made things so personal. Roberts says Bron runs very hot and that’s not something that benefits him tonight. Gacy is the king of control and mind-games. This stipulation is perfect for Gacy and he won’t stop until he is the NXT Championship. That said, no-one has been successful in stopping Bron Breakker yet.
