Mustafa Ali had a lot of potential after following his main roster debut in 2019. Unfortunately, none of it was realized as he was involved in numerous failed and uninspiring angles. He also ditched his old finisher for a good reason.

Ali was engaged in a feud with Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship. Unfortunately, he was not able to beat Theory for the title at WWE Hell In A Cell.

He was also relegated to Main Event. Ali was in action on WWE Main Event, where he defeated T-Bar in a singles match. He used a 450 Splash instead of his 054 Reverse 450 Splash. Ali took to Twitter and revealed that he ditched it because it was too risky.

yeah, risk isn’t worth the reward.

Ali also opened up about having no representation in WWE. It is evident WWE no longer cares about pushing Ali and that might not be changing anytime soon.
