Chris Jericho’s contributions to the world of professional wrestling cannot be understated in any way. He has squared off against the best of the best in the business and has a great mind for the industry. Tony Khan was also furious at him after Matt Hardy’s AEW debut.

Matt Hardy made his shocking debut in AEW back in March 2020 and immediately started a feud with Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle. The feud would feature a segment where Hardy teleported to various places in the arena. Unfortunately, his Broken gimmick simply never took off in the company.

While speaking Talk is Jericho, Chris Jericho talked bout Matt Hardy’s debut in AEW. He revealed that Tony Khan was furious at him after Hardy teleported throughout his debut.

“Tony was so mad at me. That was the one thing that we were able to squeak through the goalposts of the supernatural wrestling. Afterwards, he was like, ‘I never should have allowed that’.”

Matt Hardy also previously said that the lack of a live audience led to the failure of his Broken gimmick in AEW. Hardy is teaming up with his brother Jeff in AEW right now, while Jericho is currently feuding with The Blackpool Combat Club as part of the Jericho Appreciation Society. We’ll have to see what the company has planned for both of them.
