Two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair has accomplished great deal throughout his illustrious pro wrestling career. While he has seen a lot of success, his name has been dragged a lot of times for a good reason. He also explained the reasoning behind his upcoming match.

Ric Flair will make his in-ring return on July 31st. The match will be held as part of the huge Starrcast wrestling convention. Flair will partner up with the FTR to take on the Rock n Roll Express and a mystery partner.

Many fans are still concerned about his well-being no matter what. While speaking on “Excuse Me: The Vickie Guerrero Show”, Ric Flair talked about his upcoming retirement match. Flair claimed that the match is not about the money, as he simply wants to go out on his own.

“Because I wasn’t happy with the way I went out.

I wrestled because I needed the money back then because of divorce and divorce attorneys. I’m not doing it for the money now. I can always make money.”

I worked out hard. When I came down here, I started working out with Rob, John Cena’s trainer. I feel better about myself now mentally and physically than I did back then.

I just want to go out on my own. I kind of was pushed through in situations back then that I didn’t like to be in. But once again, when you need the money, it’s a whole different world then when you don’t. So this is on my terms.”

Ric Flair is also set for Starrcast convention in Nashville, Tennessee. He also spoke to 40 doctors to get cleared for his in-ring return. We’ll have to see how the match will turn out to be.
