AEW is preparing for a huge event next week as Double or Nothing hits Las Vegas, Nevada. A month later, the company heads to Chicago for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in collaboration with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Both shows have seen huge advance ticket sales and AEW is looking to carry that momentum forward.

Tony Khan’s company recently filed a mysterious new trademark with the US Patent & Trademark Office. The phrase “Blood Moon Rising” has been locked down for use by All Elite Wrestling. There were some clues in the filing about what this new wordmark will be used for.

The filing is standard as far as pro wrestling trademarks go. AEW plans to use the name for a wide array of wrestling-related things. The description reads as follows:

“Educational and entertainment services, namely, a continuing program about wrestling accessible by radio, television, satellite, audio, video and computer networks; Entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing multimedia program featuring wrestling distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing series featuring wrestling provided through a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of wrestling; Entertainment services, namely, providing ongoing webisodes featuring wrestling via a global computer network; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network”

From the description, it sounds like the name is planned to be used for a show of some type. It could be for another pay-per-view being added. AEW also frequently uses special names for episodes of Dynamite and Rampage. Either way, it looks like Tony Khan has a new event planned.

Fans will have to stay tuned to AEW for an official announcement. It does appear some sort of new AEW show is on the way. When it is known for sure, you’ll find out right here at Ringside News.
