Joey Janela Roasts Fans For Being Happy That He Left AEW

Joey Janela was one of the original stars of All Elite Wrestling. Janela was a regular on AEW TV for quite some time and main evented the first-ever Fyter Fest show with Jon Moxley.

The Bad Boy” saw his use in the company slowly trickle down to nothing over time. Despite a well-received feud with Sonny Kiss on AEW’s YouTube shows, Janela never got the exposure to become a top star.

The GCW star took to Twitter to roast fans who are happy over the fact that Janela is no longer with AEW. For those not in the know, Janela is free agent as his contract with AEW expired Sunday, May 1st.

A lot of unhealthy looking 48 year old men are happy my contract is up today, in 10 years I won’t have to worry about them trashing me on Twitter because most of them will be dead of diabetes…

Janela previously claimed that AEW had gone “radio silent” with him for months and that he was not expecting to sign a new contract. Janela told Denise Salcedo he was not interested in signing.

PWInsider later reported that Janela was under fire for injuring Eddie Kingston because it disrupted week’s worth of TV plans. Janela stated that he and Kingston have no remorse for that “mistake” and that he never intended to harm Hangman Adam Page.
