AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling announced huge joint pay-per-view event on last week’s episode of Dynamite. Fans immediately got excited about the potential matchups that could happen at the show. Kenny Omega’s name has been thrown around quite frequently.

The Cleaner has been taking time off from wrestling to recover from several nagging injuries. Kenny Omega had been working in a state that would have left most people completely debilitated. Kenny has been receiving treatments, undergoing surgeries, and trying his best to get back into the ring when the time comes.

Will Ospreay might be tired of waiting. The NJPW star tweeted to promote his upcoming match with Hiroshi Tanahashi for the IWGP United States Championship at Wrestling Dontaku. He said he was going to pay tribute to a wrestler that hugely impacted his career. Omega took credit for being that person. Ospreay then asked if Omega was going to be ready for the huge crossover show in June.

“You gonna be alright for June ?”

As it stands, there is no timetable for Kenny Omega’s return. It does not sound like he will be available for AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV in May. June hasn’t been ruled out, but nobody truly knows but Kenny himself.

Will Ospreay vs Kenny Omega in Chicago would get a lot of eyes on the product. They are two of the premier wrestlers in the world today. It’s just one of a plethora of potential big matches that could go down at Forbidden Door.
