WWE has a lot of plans on the horizon, but they also have a strict television schedule to keep up. Although the USA Network and FOX pay for live broadcasts, they are willing to let Vince McMahon’s company air a taped episode if there are no other options.

The company’s European tour is coming up at the end of April and into the first week of May. That being said, the company is going to need to air some pre-taped episodes in order to accommodate the travel.

According to a report fromFightful, WWE will pre-tape two episodes of SmackDown to help them get through the travel to Europe and back.

Smackdown will tape two episodes before WWE embarks on their newest European tour. The second episode will air next Friday while the brand is overseas.

There is no plan to tape a live episode of SmackDown on tour, but that wasn’t always the case. WWE used to tape during tours, but they changed that up. No reason has been given why they switched that around.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
