Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins told one hell of a story inside the ring on the opening night or WrestleMania 38. The crowed loved every minute of the match and it seems that WWE have decided to capitalize on tremendous fan reaction.

Cody wrestled The Miz on tonight’s episode of RAW. The American Nightmare defeated the Hollywood A-Lister in a match that was also watched by Seth “Freakin” Rollins from the announcer’s table.

Seth took the mic following Cody’s victory over The Miz. The Architect congratulated Cody on his victory and thanked him putting over Seth huge in his promos. Seth then asked for a rematch and he got it.

WWE later announced on their website that the two will collide once again at the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view event. The premium live event takes place May 8 (Sunday).

After making his earth-shattering return to WWE at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes will once again go head-to-head with “The Visionary” Seth Rollins in a highly anticipated rematch at WrestleMania Backlash.

WWE aired a commercial during last week’s SmackDown wherein they announced that a rematch between the two superstars will take place on the May 6th edition of SmackDown in Uniondale, NY.

It appears that the two will be involved in some sort of segment ahead of their WrestleMania Backlash clash. WWE rarely comes up with explanation to the sudden changes. We’ll have to wait to see how they proceed with the storyline.
