James Ellsworth might be the most unconventional wrestler to ever have a run in WWE. The peculiar-looking former superstar became a meme after being squashed by Braun Strowman after famously quipping that every man with two hands has a fighting chance. Ellsworth’s story since then has been a wild ride.

Ellsworth even challenged AJ Styles for the WWE title at one point. James had run as the manager of Carmella during her Money in the Bank storyline. Ellsworth’s stock faded after he was accused of sending inappropriate materials to an underage fan.

James Ellsworth recently chatted with Sportskeeda. Ellsworth talked about the recent retirement of Triple H. James said he wishes he could have had the opportunity to learn from him in NXT.

“A lot of people always say to me, ‘Man, you got to skip NXT,’ and I’m like, ‘No, I didn’t get to skip NXT, I didn’t get to go to NXT and learn from Triple H as much as I’d love to.’ It’s obvious the guy’s full of so much knowledge, he had a great career and it’s a shame we don’t get so see him wrestle for one more time.”

Ellsworth expressed great admiration and respect for The Game. He also reflected on watching his childhood disappear as Scott Hall passed away and Triple H announced his retirement from wrestling. Working with Triple H is an opportunity that James will never have again.

Despite his controversial past, James Ellsworth is one of the more interesting footnotes in WWE history. Vince McMahon even once considered allowing him to win the WWE title. Ellsworth is thankful for the opportunity, even if it was all a huge accident.
