NXT UK Referee Artemis Ortygie Leaves WWE

NXT UK referee Artemis Ortygie has left WWE. She signed a contract with the company in January 2020. She was first offered a WWE tryout at the UK Performance Center Back in April 2019, including the Glasgow NXT UK another WWE brand.

After signing the WWE contract in 2020, Artemis regularly appeared on NXT UK programming. Taking to Instagram today she announced her departure from the company.

Now that she is a free agent she announced on the platform that she is accepting bookings worldwide. We’ll soon see where she is headed next.

“Art is back. Available worldwide, no restrictions, where do you want to see me referee?”

Prior to signing with WWE, she worked in France for various promotions such as the French Professional Wrestling Federation and the International Catch Wrestling Alliance. She is the first French woman to sign with WWE.
