Ricochet is one of the most talented performers in the WWE today. Ricochet is known for his impressive athletic abilities and his tremendous strength. The WWE Intercontinental Champion provided some update on his SmackDown status for tonight.

Ricochet tweeted that he is at home resting and spending time with his son following the intercontinental champion’s successful title defense against Los Lotharios (Angel and Humberto) in triple-threat match last Friday on SmackDown. Here’s what he tweeted.

A champion not only defends his title in the ring, he defends & protects his family. Thank you @WWE for giving this champion some time to spend with my son this weekend. After whooping Los Lotharios on Wrestlemania Smackdown, some R&R with MY champ is exactly what I need.

Ricochet won the title last month. The 33-year-old beat Sami Zayn to kick off the March 4th episode of SmackDown. Ricochet took advantage of a distraction by Johnny Knoxville to get the decisive pin on Sami Zayn. Sami would go on to have an entertaining match against Knoxville at WrestleMania 38.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Ricochet’s title win on SmackDown was a sign of him receiving a huge push on the road to WrestleMania 38. With the road now closed till the next year, we’ll have to wait and see what’s next for The One and Only.
