Nikkita Lyons has captured the imaginations of fans ever since her debut against Kayla Inlay on NXT 2.0. Her pinfall on NXT 2.0 became a source for multiple memes within the IWC. During a recent interview, Lyons took the opportunity to discuss her viral pinfall.

We can attest to Nikkita Lyons’ popularity as her steamy workout video blew up. Any thirst trap she drops is also a guaranteed top-read article.

Speaking with WWE Espanol on Facebook back in early March, this is what Lyons had to say about the pinfall where she pulled off the viral splits.

“I was still, ‘did that just happen?’ I didn’t look at my phone until I got home. I was fortunate to have my parents there, my man, a bunch of friends came. I was super grateful and keeping that in mind that people close to me came to support me. That means a lot. After, I talked to my coaches and got all that going. People in the back were telling me great job. I just kind of sat there and continued to watch the show. I didn’t get out of my gear until the show was over. ‘I don’t even want to go to the locker room, I want to bask in this moment.’ It was beautiful.”

“When I got on social media, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ I was not expecting this reaction. A lot of people thought the finish was the split, but technically the finish was the tornado kick, the split was how I pinned her. That’s part of it and that’s what went viral. I was so surprised by that.”

In February, Lyons took on Kayla Inlay in her debut match on NXT 2.0. Lyons came out on top after delivering a spinning kick to Inlay in a match that saw constant back and forth action. Her pinfall has since become a topic of discussion among wrestling fans on the internet.

As we wait to see what the future holds for this young star, Lyons has constantly created waves both on and off the ring. It would not be surprising if she soon joined the WWE Main roster.
