Jon Moxley’s deal with AEW allows him to work for NJPW as well. He hasn’t received much of an opportunity to take bookings with that company thanks to the pandemic, but the former AEW World Champion is preparing for another match for NJPW.

In February, Will Ospreay called out Jon Moxley, challenging him for a match. From that point on and since returning to NJPW, Ospreay has continued to call out Moxley. It seems now Moxley has finally accepted the challenge.

Moxley responded to Ospreay after over a month and several call-outs. NJPW Global tweeted the clip and announced that the bout will go down at NJPW Windy City Riot on April 16.

@jonmoxley has responded to @willospreay– and has demanded a fight April 16 in Chicago!, the Tweet read.

Ospreay first called out Moxley at a Revpro event in February and recently after his victory over SANADA in the New Japan Cup. The bout left SANADA with a fractured left orbital bone, making him miss the remainder of New Japan Cup tour.

As NJPW comes to Chicago for the first time, this is a very exciting addition to the show for those fans. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more details.
