WWE fans have been hitting the rumor mill hard lately. Cody Rhodes has been a free agent ever since leaving AEW. Many believed his arrival in WWE was set in stone. So far, there has been no sign of the son of a son of a plumber on Raw or SmackDown.

There have been reports that Cody Rhodes is on the books for a match with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38. Every time WWE has had a big event since then, the speculation has picked back up. WWE has kept things very quiet about Cody’s status with the company. There have not been any clear answers on what is going on.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Cody Rhodes and if WWE has plans for him at WrestleMania. Meltzer gave a definitive statement on the matter. Cody Rhodes is wrestling Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. The company may not do anything to hype it in advance.

“He’s coming. I mean, that’s it. He’s wrestling Seth at WrestleMania. Unless something changes. I sure watched this not thinking anything’s changing.

How they do it, I think they may end up doing the Hardys thing where you know they’re coming and they don’t announce it and they just show up the day of the show. They may be doing that one.”

Cody Rhodes is in the plans for a WrestleMania match, according to this reporting. It could be that WWE wants a big surprise for the show. We will have to continue to tune in and see what happens.
