Ric Flair Is Now A Hillsborough County Florida Deputy Sheriff

Ric Flair has decided that he wants to do some cosplay this year. Flair has been trying to rehabilitate his image after some terrible stories about him resurfaced on an episode of Dark Side of the Ring. In the interim, he has launched a podcast with Pittsburgh sports talk host and former WCW commentator Mark Madden. Flair is trying to get back out in the public eye.

The Nature Boy recently joined his local cops and robbers team. Hillsborough County, Florida Shariff Chad Chronister has named Ric Flair an official deputy. The role is typically ceremonial only.

The fact is, Ric Flair does now carry a badge. Ric was recently officially deputized. Flair shared a photo with the Sheriff and his new badge on Instagram.

“Watch Out For Deputy Naitch! Thank You Sheriff @chadchronister For Deputizing Me! WOOOOO!”

The utility of this type of deputy role is mostly nonexistent. Richard Nixon famously made noted drug user Elvis Presley a deputy for the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. The badge was simply an honorary gift.

Ric Flair is excited about the new title. It was a good opportunity to appear in his former role as a leader in his community. It is not likely that Ric will be chasing down bad guys anytime soon.
