NXT 2.0 made its debut in September last year and it promised an entirely new outlook on the product. While it did bring about quite a few changes, not all of them were met with a positive reception. It seems Finn Balo shared his thoughts on NXT 2.0 as well.

With a fresh look and coat of paint, came a new sense of direction which has seen a new set of WWE Superstars, especially the likes of Bron Breakker. However, not quite a few talents have yet to truly connect with the fans.

NXT 2.0 was made was WWE set forth in a new direction, focusing on a new set of stars, building them from scratch. While speaking on the After The Bell podcast, Finn Balor talked about NXT 2.0 and stated that he believes it was a necessary change in the end.

“I think it was needed. I don’t want to say it was getting stale, but you know, having been there for, I think it was about a year and a half into my second run, I felt like all the matches had taken place, or like it was kind of going on like a cycle over and over again, and that something needed to change.

I remember watching the WarGames much. There were four relatively new guys in the ring with the four experienced guys, and it’s just incredible. It’s like something completely fresh. Maybe I’m just so jaded and so exhausted from seeing so much over the years. But that was something really, really cool.”

Liv Morgan also previously made it clear that she is fan of NXT 2.0’s women’s division. Sean Waltman previously criticized NXT 2.0 for having 60-year-olds being in charge of the product. We will have to wait and see if the product will improve or not in the future.
