Tonight’s SmackDown is set to feature Ronda Rousey taking on Sonya Deville in Rousey’s first ever SmackDown match.

It should be interesting to see how things play out on tonight’s show.

SmackDown

SmackDown begins with backstage promos from several wrestlers at a time, ending with Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn who ends his promo and makes his entrance for his title defense.

Intercontinental Championship

Sami Zayn vs Ricochet

Our opening championship match begins with Ricochet getting a quick roll up for a dramatic two count. Ricochet hits a drop kick and Zayn dodges a top rope dive and counters with a lariat. Zayn locks in a chin lock, Ricochet get to his feet and hits an enziguri and covers for two. Ricochet hits a super kick on the apron. Ricochet goes for a second kick but Zayn catches Ricochet and hits an exploder suplex on the apron.

The match continues live with Ricochet hitting a huricanrana off the top rope. Ricochet is caught in the air and planted with a power bomb and Zayn covers for two. Zayn hits stomps to the back of Ricochet’s head. Ricochet hits a standing moonsault and follows with a super kick. Zayn rolls to the outside and Ricochet hits a moonsault over the top to Zayn. Ricochet throws Zayn back in the ring and goes to the top rope but Zayn knocks Ricochet to the outside floor. Zayn rolls outside and Zayn is distracted by Johnny Knoxville walking out to the ring. Zayn gets in the ring and off the distraction Ricochet hits a huricanrana into a pin for the three count.

Winner: Ricochet

SmackDown returns with Sami Zayn backstage. Zayn is furious and tears apart the back stage area. Zayn talks to the camera and officially challenges Johnny Knoxville to a match at WrestleMania.

Austin Theory makes his way out while introducing himself on the mic. Theory says that Mr. McMahon is here tonight and he goes wherever McMahon goes. Theory calls out Pat McAfee and says everything McMahon does is planned. Theory approaches the commentary desk and gets in McAfee’s face and announces he is McAfee’s opponent at WrestleMania. Theory slaps the headset of McAfee and walks to the back.

Naomi vs Carmella

The match begins with Carmella immediately exiting the ring and having her protective mask placed on her. Naomi hits a kick to Carmella’s head and goes to the top rope. Off the distraction from Queen Zelina, Carmella slams Naomi to the mat. Vega tries to cause a distraction but Sasha Banks pulls her off the apron and hits the meteora. Naomi hits the moonsault out of the corner for the three count.

Winner: Naomi

Drew McIntyre vs Jinder Mahal

The match begins with a lock up. McIntyre hits a shoulder tackle and Mahal dodges a chop and hits a kick to McIntyre’s head. McIntyre hits an overhead throw and McIntyre shoves Mahal to the corner and hits another overhead throw. McIntyre hits the Glasgow kiss and hits the claymore and covers for three.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

After a video package promoting Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Rick Boogs appears on stage to introduce Shinsuke Nakamura. As Nakamura and Boogs begin to walk to the ring, The Usos run out to attack from behind and take out both Nakamura and Boogs. Roman Reigns’ music hits and the Universal Champion and Paul Heyman come out to join The Usos. Reigns says that tomorrow night both himself and Lesnar defend their titles in Madison Square Garden. Reigns says that he wants Lesnar to retain and make it to WrestleMania so he can hand the WWE Championship to Reigns. Reigns says that at WrestleMania he will smash Brock Lesnar, pin Brock Lesnar and hold both championships over Lesnar as fireworks go off. Reigns says the he will make Lesnar acknowledge him at WrestleMania.

SmackDown Tag team Championship

The Usos vs The Viking Raiders

The match begins with Erik hitting a take down. Ivar goes to the top rope and hits a splash to Jimmy. Ivar makes the cover for a two count. Jey makes the blind tag and The Usos take advantage with a double team slam. Jimmy tags in and The Usos take the fight outside and team up to throw Erik over the barricade in the timekeeper’s area.

The match continues live withJimmy making a blind tag and surprising Erik with a super kick. Jimmy goes to the top rope but Erik brings his knees up to counter the splash. Ivar tags in and The Viking Raiders hit the viking experience and Jey rushes in to break the cover at two. Both Erik and Jey are tagged in and Jey hits a super kick. The Usos hit the 1D and cover for three.

Winners: The Usos

Big E vs Sheamus

Before the match begins Ridge Holland hits Kofi Kingston with a chair. Off the distraction Sheamus attacks Big E from behind. Sheamus and Holland climb on the New Day’s ATV and drive it to the back and with no bell we cut to a commercial.

Back live with footage shown of Sheamus and Ridge Holland smashing the New Day’s ATV to pieces with sledgehammers.

Johnny Knoxville is interviewed backstage and Knoxville officially accepts Sami Zayn’s challenge for a match at WrestleMania.

Ronda Rousey vs Sonya Deville

Before the match can begin, Charlotte Flair makes her way out. The match begins and Rousey immediately slaps Deville in the face. Rousey goes for an armbar but Charlotte runs on the apron to cause a distraction and allow Deville to hit a chop block. Rousey hits a knee to the head and a kick to the mid section. Rousey hits with a series of Judo throws and locks in the armbar and Deville taps out.

Winner: Ronda Rousey

After the match Charlotte enters the ring and Rousey catches her in an ankle lock and forces Charlotte to tap out. SmackDown goes off the air with Rousey standing tall in the ring.
