Adam Page found his success with fans organically thanks to his relatable character work and excellent in-ring skills. He was also part of one of the most compelling storylines in AEW thanks to his storyline with Kenny Omega. It seems Tony Khan opened up Adam Page’s current performance in AEW as well.

In a culmination of a multi-year-long storyline, Adam Page finally defeated Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Championship – a promise he had made years prior. His organic growth has certainly helped him become a lovable babyface as well.

Since then he has competed in two highly lauded matches against Bryan Danielson and also a Texas Death Match against Lance Archer. Page showed off his incredible skills in all the matches and raised his stock to a whole new level.

While speaking on a recent media call ahead of AEW Revolution, AEW President Tony Khan stated that he believes no one has had better matches than Adam Page recently.

“I believe Hangman’s match quality bar none, I have no exceptions to this since he has won the title nobody has had better matches. The two matches he’s had with Bryan Danielson and the Texas Death match with Lance Archer have probably been three of the best matches we’ve had in the company since he won the title. So I am going to give him that spot and Adam Cole that spot and ask them to go out and have a great match as best they can.”

Adam Page is set to defend his AEW World Championship against Adam Cole at AEW Revolution on March 6th. It remains to be seen whether Adam Page will end up retaining or title or not.
