Ric Flair is one of the biggest veterans in the world of pro-wrestling. While it’s true that he has earned the right to speak his mind when he deems it necessary, whenever he talks about his daughter Charlotte Flair’s career, it always stares up some controversy.

Charlotte Flair has turned out to be one of the biggest divas in WWE history. As she has been a mainstay in WWE main events for several years now, she’s made a distinct place for herself and it’s due to tremendous amount of hard work.

Flair recently spoke with HOT 97 in order to promote WWE WrestleMania 38. She was asked during the interview about whether she received any support from her father, Ric Flair, or not. The topic turned to how critical Ric Flair is in his vocal commentary on her daughter’s booking and many other aspects of her career.

Charlotte said in the interview that she has previously tried to contain her father. However, she’s accepted that she is unable to, and the pro-wrestling veteran will ultimately say whatever he has on his mind.

I think so, yeah, but it’s also just remaining the course, where I don’t let people know what I’m thinking, whether I’m bothered or unbothered and my dad’s a lot more vocal. I’ve tried to control that and I’ve realized that I can’t. Whether my dad’s my biggest cheerleader or what, he’s gonna say what he wants to say and I can’t persuade him any other way and it’s just learning to have…it does [comes from a place of love] and he thinks he’s doing right by me.

I know that no one in the world would do anything other than,  my dad would do anything in the world for me and how much he loves me, and my career means everything to him. I’m gonna try not to fight that battle anymore. He is always gonna go to bat for me and I would expect any parent to go to bat for their child. I think people just forget that it’s a father-daughter duo, and he’s just protecting his nest. Even though I don’t think I need protecting. I’m like, ‘Dad, I got this, okay?’ I’m still daddy’s little girl.”

The WWE superstar will be defending her WWE SmackDown Women’s Title against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 38. Ronda Rousey recently made her return in WWE at the Royal Rumble, where she also emerged victorious.
