Charlotte Flair dominated the WWE women’s Royal Rumble until the bitter end. Ronda Rousey made her return to the company and eliminated The Queen to punch her ticket to WrestleMania in Dallas. Many fans felt the finish was underwhelming, but WWE has been planning for the feud for a while.

It was reported before the Royal Rumble that the plan for WrestleMania is Charlotte vs Ronda. The road to get there obviously had to go through the Rumble. Rousey got the job done and things will develop between now and then.

The idea of a Flair vs Rousey Mania match was heavily pushed by Charlotte herself. Fightful Select reported that Flair has been trying to get the feud together for months. Rousey became a priority for WWE once the idea caught hold.

The other women’s title match for WrestleMania looks to be Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair. The two will start a feud for the Raw women’s title leading up to the greatest spectacle of them all. Many fans would have rather seen Lynch in the spot.

Ronda Rousey is planned to be with WWE for about a year. A feud with Becky Lynch could go down at the following WrestleMania as Rousey is on her way out. For now, The Queen will get to take on the former UFC superstar.

We’ll see if any plans change in the leadup to WrestleMania. The Royal Rumble left a bitter taste for many in the WWE Universe. Many are still holding out hope for an incredible feud between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.
