D’Lo Brown joined Impact Wresting’s announce team in January 2021. Brown was paired with Matt Striker and continue to perform his duties after his broadcast partner was let go by the promotion.

Brown, 51, was recently written off Impact TV to work behind the scenes as a producer. He suffered a kayfabe injury after members of Honor No More put him through a table during an Impact taping last month.

According to PWInsider, Brown will continue working full time behind the scenes and won’t be returning to the announce team any time soon. It is worth mentioning that the new announce team comprises Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt.

Hannifan, formerly known as Tom Phillips in WWE, joined Impact at the company’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view (PPV) event in January. He replaced Matt Striker as the lead announcer.
