MJF has been touted as one of the defining heels of the current generation of pro wrestlers and it is not difficult to understand why. MJF became huge star in AEW in a short time and since then has consistently delivered in his feuds. It seems RVD gave huge props to MJF as well.

The Salt of the Earth is devoted to his craft as he never breaks kayfabe, inside or outside the squared circle. He even managed to defeat CM Punk on a previous episode of AEW Dynamite, further raising his stock.

While speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, WWE Hall Of Famer RVD explained why he believes MJF is the best heel of last year. It was ultimately due to him being committed to his character.

“I think MJF really has the fans’ attention. He’s super committed from what I understand, he was at a comic convention of some kind and on his own without the production crew behind him or anything, he walked into a room full of black people but they had a black person on stage and he said, ‘Does anybody have any questions on Black Lives Matter?’ Like, what a heel. He’s just committed, he doesn’t laugh at himself or break character that I know.”

We will have to wait and see how MJF and CM Punk’s feud will be booked in the coming weeks as it is very likely the two will duke it out once again at AEW Revolution next month.
