AEW took the world by storm back in 2019 as it was the first pro wrestling company in a very long time that made waves in the pro wrestling world as a form of competition for WWE. It was certainly a risky endeavor as well because there was always the chance it was going to end up being a huge failure. It seems Chris Jericho made a bold claim recently as well.

There is no doubt that AEW has a very deep and diverse roster of talented in-ring performers from all over the world, incorporating various styles of pro wrestling. Khan even compared it to WCW’s 1997 roster. However, many fans are concerned that the company is signing more talents than they can handle.

AEW is most certainly far from perfect as there are numerous aspects of the company that need a lot of improvement. While speaking to popculture.com, Chris Jericho stated that he believes AEW is the top professional wrestling company in the world right now.

“Well, in my opinion, what is the top wrestling promotion? To me, I think we already are, as far as in-ring product and entertaining shows, storylines, characters, et cetera. If you’re looking at like will AEW overtake WWE as the wrestling brand in North America? I don’t know. All we’re worried about is continuing to grow our fan base, which we are, grow and continue to improve and create amazing stories, which we do.”

There is no doubt AEW will keep on striving to better their product so that fans remain happy for as long as possible. With Tony Khan at the helm, the company is going through a lot of changes over the past few months. We will have to see just how the company will change in the coming years.
