Shane McMahon returned to WWE at the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble match. He was supposed to wrestle at the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania 38. Now those plans have been 100% scrapped.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Shane McMahon was a nightmare as producer of the Men’s Royal Rumble match. He openly buried Jamie Noble and wanted to book the match around himself. There were ramifications of all that heat.

A tenured member of the creative team informed us that writers were told in a “semi-quiet way” that “there will be no more creative discussions about Shane McMahon.” They have now “moved on to other creative discussions.”

That being said, Shane McMahon is no longer on RAW, Elimination Chamber, or WrestleMania. He was previously slated to be regular on the red brand.

Vince McMahon’s son has not been an employee of WWE for a long time. We were told that he was “supposed to be involved in the XFL but then COVID hit and XFL went into bankruptcy.” Shane has not been a WWE employee since he’s been back. Vince McMahon also had no choice but to take this action against his own son.

Vince had no choice. Shane created chaos, had everyone in an uproar, pissed off everyone in the Rumble, openly buried other producers, and was changing things that Vince wanted. Vince had no other choice but to send him home.

The term “blackballed” has not been used, but he was “pretty much ‘let go.'” Vince McMahon is “quietly” using the term “let go” to describe the situation.

We will have to see if Shane McMahon ever makes a return to his father’s company, but this run was cut very short. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more information on this still developing story.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
