Megan Morant became backstage correspondent for WWE Smackdown in April of 2021. The Northwestern University graduate previously hosted an online talk show for the New England Patriots. Morant was extremely excited to become a part of the WWE team.

Megan had previously made a career covering collegiate sports and minor league baseball. The Chicago native eventually made it to the sidelines for Super Bowl LVI and LVII and regularly appeared on CBS’ NFL pregame coverage. The move to sports entertainment was a natural one.

During her time at Northwestern, Megan Morant competed at the highest collegiate level of cross country. Megan took to social media today to remember how athletics helped her to achieve a dream career. Morant’s post was in celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day.

“Happy National Girls & Women in Sports Day! Track made this tall, awkward, lanky girl feel like she could do anything. It led to a college scholarship and friends/memories to last a lifetime. Thank you sports! I don’t know where this little girl would be without you
