Austin Theory had a memorable run in NXT where he was part of Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way. He would eventually make his way to the main roster and his fortunes increased from there. It seems Jim Cornette has a high opinion of Austin Theory.

Austin Theory has been engaged in a storyline with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon ever since Survivor Series concluded last year. It also featured him getting slapped by Vince McMahon. Many fans believe Theory is on the cusp of greatness as well.

While speaking on his podcast, Drive Thru, Jim Cornette said that Austin Theory has a better personality than AEW Champion Adam Page. Cornette also stated that he believes Page is a worse wrestler than Theory.

“I genuinetly say that Austin Theory, at this stage of his career, is better than Hangman Page, the AEW Champion. His physique is better. That does not mean I am saying Page looks bad, but Theory’s physique is simply better. Theory’s in-ring work from the basics, and the timing, and the positioning, and the logic of the whole thing is better.

He is showing more personality in his matches, he is not showing much personality in his interviews, but Hangman Page did not show a lot of personality in his interviews except once in a while when he gets fired up. But as far Theory’s heel personality when he is working in his matches comes through better than Page’s babyface personality, where, as we mentioned, Page was wrestling Danielson, and we simply could not take our eyes off Danielson.”

Tommy Dreamer also recently urged Austin Theory to not blow his opportunity in WWE. Theory had a very strong showing during his first Royal Rumble match as he impressed many. It remains to be seen what is next in store for Austin Theory.
