Lio Rush made his debut at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view last year. Unfortunately for Lio Rush, his debut was short-lived as he suffered an injury in the Casino Battle Royale at the pay-per-view. Due to this, he had announced his retirement from pro wrestling back in June.

Lio Rush previously stated that he was content with what Rush had accomplished in his pro wrestling career. Eventually, Rush was able to make a full recovery and came back to pro wrestling. He is now signed with AEW and made frequent appearances on AEW television.

Rush also recently announced that he will be free agent next month and is officially done with AEW. While speaking on his podcast, Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about Lio Rush leaving AEW soon. Cornette dragged Rush for his confusing decision and also mocked him.

“What did Lio Rush do, sign a six-week contract with AEW? Why was he there? I think this is part of a grand scheme. He is very likely so much farther ahead of us. I have just stumbled out on his secret by accident, and nobody has been able to pick up on this. He is purposefully going to every single national TV program and appearing on it for the briefest period of time to tease people.”

Rush will be appearing during the show on February 24th. It was also said that Lio Rush hadn’t been around AEW for weeks before his announcement. We will have to wait and see how Rush will fare in the indies again. We will have to see what kind of bookings come Lio Rush’s way after his TERMINUS appearnace.
