Paige Says She Was The Best WWE General Manager

Paige was forced to retire from in-ring competition in 2018 after injuries cut her wrestling journey short. WWE still had plenty for her to do at the time. Paige was the on-screen general manager WWE SmackDown for period of time. It was a role she loved and misses. Last night’s episode had Paige missing those days.

During the show, Adam Pearce gave Sonya Deville a tongue lashing after her interference in Naomi’s match, setting the stage for a bout next week. Eric Bischoff also appeared in Nashville and was chatting with Pearce backstage when Sonia popped in in her referee’s shirt. It was teased that Bischoff might also be up to shenanigans, but his appearance was likely a one-off.

Paige must be sick of the authority figure tomfoolery. The former SmackDown GM took to Twitter to let fans know who she thought was the best general manager. The former Diva’s Champion says it was her.

“I was the best GM.”

Several fans responded in agreement with Paige’s opinion. A large portion of the WWE Universe would love to see her back in the role. There could be a future for Paige as an authority figure if she is unable to return to the ring.

A return is always a hot topic every Royal Rumble season. Paige always loves to play along with the gossip. Time will tell if she is ever able to compete again for WWE or anywhere else.
